I have the most terrible form for splootering. It’s most likely genetic – my paternal grandfather’s tie often told the story of the week’s menu, and my parents would each claim the other is worse, but both have the trait. Either way, it all boils down to an inevitability for me.
I first heard the phrase “dinner medals” in a bespoke birthday video message from comedian Alex Lowe as Clinton Baptiste – a truly terrible psychic – and knew it had to be a tune title. The funny thing is, since writing this, I have definitely splootered less. Coincidence? Almost definitely, yes.
